Accessibility

At Evolution Web Development we're serious about website accessibility. Our goal is to make websites that are accessible to as many people as possible; both our own and client websites.

We've gone to some lengths to ensure our recent efforts comply as much as possible with the latest guidelines and standards outlined by the W3C, and those described in Section 508 of the ADA. This means the site is designed with those in mind who find using web sites more challenging, perhaps because they are partially sighted, or use assistive technology. We do not to allow accessibility issues to compromise the visual design standards you would expect from a web design company.

Unfortunately, many of the websites we've produced in the past are not as accessible as they would be if we had produced them recently: it's been, and continues to be, an "evolutionary" process. Making websites easy to use and accessible for as many users as possible is an ongoing task, as Internet technologies and browsing habits change. We continue to appraise the accessibility of our sites and are continually improving our development techniques.

If you have questions or comments about the accessibility or usability of our website or clients' websites, or especially if you have suggestions, please email us.

Text Size

Some users may wish to enlarge or decrease their browser's text size. Most web browsers have a menu at the top of the screen entitled View, under which there is an option entitled Text Zoom, Text Size, Make Text Bigger, etc. These options allow you to control the size of text on the page if the text has been specified properly, or if you are using a reasonably standards compliant browser (which does not include Internet Explorer until its most recent release, IE7).
